Are we back in the game, boy? 'Cos it's time to go. I can see you remember the last time, but listen I have changed a little Ain't that good, no? Good to see that you're mending, Don't be twice shy, though it aches when you wake and in all kinds of weather Let's get the old gang back together. Now we knock at the next door, and I say hello. But as she would say, "You can't clear the air in a room full of elephant." Don't you think, bro? I can see that you hate me, but life's quid pro quo. Cos three weeks in she got up, left forever. Let's get the old gang back together. And the silence is deafening. Anybody gonna take the call? Anybody gonna take the call? Any body gonna take the call? Come on people, L. A. needs us all! How's our favouite sweet thing; the "Red Knight Monroe"? Now can I be Steed and you Mrs Peel, We can flirt All the way to Monte Carlo You could be that again, babe, with one last dice throw. The Jet Smurfette in her cracked scarlet leather. Let's get the old gang back together.

Lover 03:53
I've passed this way before, here come the floods of memory. The stale tobacco air a crumpled sketch a patch of sea. A half forgotten rhyme, an angry word scratched in dismay. I haven't slept again; I hold each one it fades away. Then I come home like the first time, And die to each empty wasted year. I drink in deep from each moment Every half smile every movement every tear. The years be fore us Could only leave me aching for more. I'd need a lifetime, and ache as much as ever... I try to keep direct, but the traffic light reflects the glare from the rain and the sleeting. Never know what's coming next, we operate on reflex then despair, cos the memory's fleeting. And if I had another moment, I would spend it less indifferent, I'd open up my ears more. I must have missed it when you said it, now I'm living to regret it, show me what you disappeared for. And I appreciate amassing memories like a child. But I can't replicate, so it remains un-reconciled. And as the chasm starts to open up deeper, the wind chill rushes down your back, and the gradient steeper. It seems apparent to be reticent, will leave you reminiscent, rather than within your element. It's more than evident. With hindsight, when the time's right, shed tears, because you'll never see her eyes shine bright. You'll never see her eyes shine bright. The years be fore us, Could only leave me aching for more. I'd need a lifetime, and ache as much as ever...

Seer 05:21
But oh, my child, why must we cry? All of the sighs we breathe in time join the sky. And oh my child, must we be bruised, Knowing the bitter taste of kindness refused? But oh, my child, why must we grieve? We could move mountains if we'd only believe. And oh my child, why must we weep? Each little life of ours is rounded with sleep.

about

Archetypewriter takes five standard characters from story conventions (Antihero, Lover, Hero, Trickster, and Seer) and connects them together with four tracks called Transvariations, to create a rich, brisk and seamless romp of rich colour and raw emotion. It is their most ambitious and personal work to date, with a maturity that comes from a lifetime of study and dedication to their respective disciplines.

From movie and TV influences to 20th century classical minimalism, on to 60s folk pop and psychedelia and beyond, Richard draws from a vast pool of inspiration as he composes elaborate brass and string arrangements, basslines, licks and lyrics. His connection to a staggering number of highly talented instrumentalists, vocalists and other technical types in the UK makes the style and signifier of the Beamer Grande sound possible, as groups of enthusiastic musos meet in makeshift recording locations to lay down preliminary audio and MIDI tracks.

It is then the very great pleasure for Jon to receive those sessions and remix them, adding and designing electronic elements, phattening up the rhythm section and generally hyping it up in any way he feels appropriate. In most, he stamps a sound rooted in dance music culture on into feeling and flavour of the productions, while others are a faithful attempt to honour the natural sound of the performers’ sessions as best he can. Either way, he has spent a lifetime committed to creating the tightest, cleanest, most up-front sound possible.

about

Beamer Grande Vancouver, British Columbia

A genre-defying musical collaboration between electronic production obsessionist Jon Bierman and Richard Meehan, unhinged musical expressionist, academic and polymath of jazz, classical and contemporary composition.

Their collaboration creates an uncompromisingly wacky, wonky, bold, and brash experience, confounding listener expectation as often as is tasteful, and occasionally a bit more.
